Delicious Guacamole Dip – Special Spicy Recipe

Guacamole is a delicious dip and a popular hit at get-togethers. What’s not to love when it includes so many features that everyone will love? The main ingredient is avocado; not only does it taste divine, but it’s packed with vitamins and minerals. Plus, there is finally a “fatty food” that no one has to feel guilty about. Avocados contain healthy monounsaturated fats, as opposed to toxic trans fats. This healthy fat actually balances the unbalanced cholesterol created by other harmful fake fats. Avocados store an impressive amount of positive properties and can be used in several ways. Don’t you love it when foods are both rewarding and good for you?

Avocados are also a great option for vegetarians and vegans because they contain high amounts of protein (more than any other fruit, in fact). Additionally, avocados contain the following:

  • Vitamin B5
Great for overall body function, immune system, hormones and energy.
  • Vitamin B6
Helps combat fatigue and is important for efficient enzymes and brain function
  • Vitamin C
An amazing antioxidant that aids iron absorption and acts as a mood enhancer
  • Vitamin B
Extra powerful antioxidant that promotes optimal cellular function
  • Vitamin K
Important for the free circulation of blood in our arteries and for clotting in case of cuts
  • Fiber
Amazing intestinal cleanser that supports stool and cholesterol health
  • Copper
Great for energy levels, anemia prevention, healthy tissue and cholesterol levels
  • Potassium
Crucial for a healthy heart, nervous system, blood pressure and kidneys

Holy Guacamole!

This is a fun twist on the traditional guacamole recipe. Here is my secret and special recipe for spicy guacamole.

Preparation ingredients:

  • 5 ripe avocados
  • 2 limes, sliced
  • 1 chopped red onion
  • 3 chopped jalapeños (or more/less depending on your preferred spice factor)
  • ½ cup chopped dried tomatoes
  • 1 cup chopped cilantro
  • 3 cloves of garlic, minced
  • Sea salt

This formula feeds four to five people. For a personal serving, use half the specified amounts.

Step 1: Cut the avocados in half and remove the pit. Slice the avocados using your preferred method and place them in a large bowl.

Step 2: Once you have gathered the avocados in the bowl, squeeze the lime over them. The lime will delay their browning process. Sprinkle with salt and stir gently. Use a fork to gently mash the avocado until you have a thick, chunky consistency. Excessive crushing will turn your guacamole into a green, mushy baby food.

Step 3: Add chopped red onion, sun-dried tomatoes, jalapeño, garlic and cilantro and mix gently. (If you’re sensitive to spices, don’t worry: Skip the jalapeños and opt for a mild guacamole.)

I usually keep the avocados, onion, and lime in the refrigerator for several hours before making the guacamole. (Bonus tip: You’ll cry less when cutting the onion if it’s cold.) This way, it’s immediately ready to serve and eat as a refreshing snack. Otherwise, you can eat it plain at room temperature or cover it tightly with Saran Wrap then refrigerate it for an hour.

Your guacamole is more than just a dip; it can be used for many purposes. Use it as a spread on your sandwich or as a sauce in your wrap. Eat well and enjoy!
